More adoption day photos...

Nini looking scrumptious in her Chinese dress...it still fits!

Family photo outside of PF Changs...gone the way of all other family photos before it: Meagan is mad and NiNi is pointing to a puppy in someone's car

Very excited to have her very own "mini" dessert

Gotta love the CHEESY grin

One Year Ago...

One year ago (June 12th) Shan An Ni officially became a Reuter, and our lives will never be the same!

Snot

Snot. We have copious amounts of snot. The green and bubbling kind. The kind that gets smeared from the nose and directly into the hair. Yes, Nini has another sinus infection. This will be her third in almost as many months. This "feeling of crumminess" combined with her already challenging 2-year-old behavior is becoming a little more than what this tired old mom can bear. Seriously, I'm thinking of taking her to the ENT. My theory, supported by another cleft mom, is that she gets more bacteria in her sinuses via that tiny but pesky hole in the top of her mouth. The hole that the plastic surgeon said would not need to be fixed until she is 7 or 8. Hmmm... But what do I know.

Moving on the other topics...
We had a very full Memorial Day weekend. Three, count them, THREE cookouts including a big party at our place on Sunday

Nini doesn't quite know what to think of her cousin, Capriella

Our budding gymnast. The strength of her arms matches the strength of her will :)

Celebrating Grandpa's birthday

Random cute picture of the girls

The barn that Kyle and Jordan built. Our friends, who also happen to be very handy, spent their Memorial Day building this barn for us! To add guilt upon guilt, we had to go out of town for the day. When we left, it was still basically a pile of wood, and when we came home there was this barn, standing in all its glory! We're not worthy, we're not worthy! Seriously, we are SO SO grateful!

Ok, these two pictures of Meagan are far and away my new favorites. The first one catches her pensive personality, and I love how the blue in her skirt matches the blue in her eyes in the second one.
