First day of school pics

Yes, it was dark outside!  My baby has to walk down to the bus stop at 6:55am...with all the big bad eight-graders!  She really does look like a baby compared to them and is quite intimidated.  NiNi on the other hand was FIRED UP about the first day of kindergarten.  Finally, the day she has been waiting her whole like for!  I think she planned her outfit a full two weeks ago.  She also asked if she could go to school on Saturdays too.  Ah, if only that enthusiasm would last the next 12 years! 

State Fair

Skipped a few state fair trips in recent years so we wanted to make sure we weren't missing anything. Low budget midway rides, ridiculously over-priced food and lots of stinky animal stalls. Yep, pretty much exactly the way I remembered it! The kids had a good time...until the end of the day when Ethan puked....and continued to puke the entire van ride home. Poor guy. We didn't realize he was in the beginning stages of the flu.
