Fall festivities

As is our custom took a trip to Brown County with the Bolenders for family pictures.  Jenni and the girls came along this year!  We also sneaked in a trip to the pumpkin patch.  Notice I coordinated everyone's clothing in gray, then I somehow forgot and wore a red cardigan.  Mom brain.  I've got it bad.

Homecoming weekend

Ok, Meagan is now officially growing up at scary fast speed.  This weekend was her first semi-formal dance and first official date.  I use the the term "date" loosely since mom and dad personally chaperoned, taxied, and bank-rolled the whole thing. But it was so fun getting to be a part of it.  Dad was the real hero, staying at Denny's until 1:30 for the after party, while I hightailed it back to the hotel room. That's right. Denny's. 1:30am. A dozen teenagers. Need I say more? The picture above is my favorite shot of the weekend. We were trying to get them to hold hands and by the look on Meagan's face you'd think she was holding a dead fish. Good to know boys are still just a little bit icky.
