It was 56 degrees the other day...56 degrees in mid January! So we put on our mud boots and tried to soak up a tiny but of vitamin D before the next deep freeze sets in.
Often I sing Ethan a song when putting him to bed. There are 3-4 special lullabies that I have sung to him since he was a baby. Recently Ethan started asking for bed time songs from daddy. Well, in classic Chris fashion, he belts out tunes like jingle bells, happy birthday, the batman theme song. The other night Meagan was laying with me in bed because she had a migraine. She was crying and Ethan came in and started softly singing the A-B-C song in her ear. I wonder what lullabies his kids will get!
Ethan has been fascinated with pregnancy as we have several friends that are pregnant including my sister-in-law. His wheels are really turning: "how does the baby get in there?" and of course the logical question that follows is "how does the baby get out?" I said something like "oh, a special place in the mommies body". That was an unsatisfactory answer for his 5 year old brain so he said "Ya mom but WHERE is the special place?"
Ethan seems to confuse the Santa and Jesus stories and I feel a little guilty about that. Says things like, "when Santa was a baby..." The other day he asked, "mom is Santa God?" We have often thought we might be possibly psychologically damaging our kids, but here's the proof!
Ethan poured himself some apple juice the other day, pulling a random glass out of the dishwasher. I walked into the kitchen and had a little mini panic
Meagan just loves to steal our phones and take strange selfies. So Chris made this one his wallpaper
